I have trained with Dr. John Butler and Gil Boyne at the Hypnotherapy Training Institute of Britain in London. This is the course provider for the British Society of Hypnotherapy, which was established in 1950 and is the oldest professional hypnotherapy organisation in the UK.
My training in "Transforming Therapy"TM included rigorous grounding in the analytical hypnotherapy techniques of Gil Boyne and a thorough study of the interraction between the subconscious and conscious minds. Of particular emphasis were hypnotherapy for therapeutic transformation, clinical hypnotherapy, advanced hypnotherapy and medical hypnotherapy.
I have been practising self-hypnosis assiduously for many years, effecting radical changes to my health and my life.

On a more personal note...
Hypnotherapy first affected my life some years ago. Owing to an injury incurred after surgery to my vocal cords, one of my cords was tethered by scar-tissue; it was, in effect, paralysed. As doctors told me that I would never talk properly again and never sing again, they handed me a piece of paper with the telephone number of a psychiatrist on it. The idea was that I should seek professional help, to come to terms with my loss.
As a random effort and very desperate, I sought the help of a local hypnotherapist, called Samantha Wilson, who had trained with Gil Boyne in Los Angeles. She gave me visual suggestions under hypnosis and, three days later, I noticed that my voice felt stronger. When the Ear Nose Throat consultant in Harley Street examined my vocal cords a couple of weeks later, he said to the junior doctor assisting him, "bring me the correct notes for this patient. Her vocal cords are working normally". The scar-tissue had completely disappeared, in accordance with the hypnotic suggestions and imagery that had been given to me.
I wanted to punch the air and there began my fantastic relationship with hypnosis!
